Facilitated by an educator, ‘guided reading’ takes place in a small-groups, with each student taking turns to read, as peers follow. As well as asking questions – to develop observation, prediction skills and reading for meaning, for example – the educator may reinforce spelling patterns, grammar & punctuation.
